A day off work, blue skies, sunshine and cycle in the countryside.  What could be more lovely?  In a stroke of good fortune we happened to take the day off work last Tuesday for a  cycle and it turned out to be the warmest day of the year so far.  It all seems like a dream, now that we are back in the grip of winter!

Look, no layers

On the way home we both had minor cycling accidents as a result of carrying larger than desirable rucksacks.  No serious injury, just grazes and bruises.  The bikes are also a bit scuffed and the gears needed looking at afterwards (although they were already playing up a bit before).  The lesson learned is to get panniers or some other safe way of transporting stuff.
